Apple quadruples storage limit for musicDecember 7, 2015 - 16:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Apple has kept its promise to offer users more music storage in the cloud by bumping up the limit on iTunes Match and Apple Music to 100,000 songs, according to Digital Spy. The update quadruples the amount of online storage on offer, with the previous limit being 25,000 tracks. Users can now have online music libraries that are twice the size of the 50,000 tracks that Google Play Music offers, although that service is free. Apple's match/upload music locker feature allows users to pair their songs in the cloud and play them on all of their devices - good news for anyone with a 16GB iPhone. The iPhone maker has taken its time rolling out the storage-boosting update, having originally announced it via internet software and services SVP Eddy Cue's Twitter account in June.
