The Oscar-winning actress is reportedly in talks to star in Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" as one of the new female leads, AceShowbiz reports. Variety was the first to report the casting but was yet to get a confirmation from Marvel because the negotiations were still "early". If it's true, then this would be Blanchett's first major comic book gig. Her role is still unknown. Marvel recently hired female writer Stephany Folsom to revise the early draft written by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle. Taika Waiti is already on board to direct the "Thor" sequel. Hemsworth returns to the role of the hammer-wielding hero, supported by Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on November 3, 2017.
