Huawei, Google “to reteam for another Nexus in 2016”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Huawei's Nexus 6P was well received by the Android community, which is probably why we're hearing reports that the Chinese manufacturer has been hired to make another handset for Google in 2016, Digital Spy said.

Word of the 6P successor comes from analyst Pan Jiutang, who has a solid track record when it comes to all things Nexus, as Phandroid points out.

Jiutang also claims that the 2016 Huawei Nexus will pack a top-of-the-range Snapdragon 820 processor, suggesting that the company will once again make the high-end Nexus.

The Nexus 6P launched alongside LG's budget alternative the Nexus 5X earlier this year - they were the first devices to ship with Google's Android Marshmallow operating system.

Google has long-standing relationships with a number of its Nexus manufacturing partners, notably LG, which has made three handsets for the web giant to date.

It is yet to be confirmed when the Nexus hardware range will next be refreshed.
