Sharing some never-before-seen footage, the latest sneak peek gives the spotlight to the titular bride, AceShowbiz reports. In some scenes, the video teases the haunting presence of the villain. "You're dead. You can't be here. You died!" a man stutters as he appears to be shocked. John Watson (Martin Freeman) himself looks terrified though he refuses to believe that he and Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) face a supernatural being. The holiday special is set in London in 1895. The ghost of Mrs. Ricoletti, who just took her own life while dressed in her old wedding gown, now appears to be prowling the streets with an unslakeable thirst for revenge. From fog-shrouded Limehouse to the bowels of a ruined church, Holmes, Watson and their friends must use all their cunning to combat an enemy seemingly from beyond the grave and the final, shocking truth about... the Abominable Bride! "Sherlock: The Abominable Bride" will premiere January 1, 2016 in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
