According to Michael Zorc, Armenia national team midfielder whose contract with the German club expires in summer of 2017, proved himself an excellent footballer during the fall season, scoring a number of goals and assists. The new contract reportedly envisages an annual salary of €7,5 million , up from current €5,5 million. Borussia Dortmund signed a 4-year contract with Mkhitaryan in July, 2013. A statement on the club's official website read: "The Borussia Dortmund AG and FC Shakhtar Donetsk have agreed on the transfer of the Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan, born on January 21, 1989. Borussia Dortmund and the player have reached a general agreement about the financial conditions of a contract expiring on June 30, 2017."
