Asus ZenFone 3 "to launch with fingerprint scanning next summer"

PanARMENIAN.Net - Asus is reportedly working on another flagship smartphone in the form of the ZenFone 3, a midrange Android device that will offer an affordable alternative to LG and Samsung's powerhouses, Digital Spy reports.

The first details about the ZenFone 2 follow-up have started trickling through courtesy of DigiTimes, which claims that the device is on course to arrive in May or June of next year.

The website has brought word that the handset will come with a fingerprint scanner on board, but specs information is otherwise thin on the ground.

That said, Asus CEO Jonney Shih has confirmed that the company's next flagship will include a USB Type-C port for faster charging and data transfer.

"If the ZenFone 2 is anything to go by, then we should see the new handset arrive in the UK, likely several months after its debut in the firm's native China," Digital Spy said.
