The tech titan offered up insider information about how its snappers are manufactured during a 60 Minutes report. The sizeable team, which requires more than 200 components to create an iPhone camera module, reports to Apple's camera head Graham Townsend. During the report, Apple also shed light on some of the parts inside the iPhone camera. For instance, its autofocus system is suspended from four wires that are less than half the width of a human hair. The team works from a secret lab where the camera sensors are tested under every lighting condition imaginable. In fact, there are 24 billion operators for every photo taken. Judging by the size of the team behind it, camera improvements are expected to be a key feature of the iPhone 7, which is expected to break cover next autumn.
