Radiohead releases unused “James Bond” theme song “Spectre” (video)![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Radiohead was once asked to write a theme song for the latest "James Bond" film, "Spectre". When the producers decided to go with Sam Smith's underwhelming "Writing's on the Wall", the band's aptly-titled "Spectre" was left on the cutting room floor until recently, when they released it online as a Christmas gift to fans, AceShowbiz reports. "Last year we were asked to write a tune for Bond movie Spectre. Yes we were," the band's frontman Thom Yorke revealed in some Twitter posts he sent out on Christmas Day. "It didn't work out... but became something of our own which we love very much ... As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it. Merry Christmas. May the force be with you." The dramatic orchestral ballad is perfect for "Spectre". Many listeners think the filmmakers behind the film should've picked this Radiohead song over Smith's "Writing's on the Wall", which was met with a lot of negative reviews despite being the first "James Bond" soundtrack to reach No. 1 on the U.K.'s singles chart, something that not even Adele's "Skyfall" could achieve. ![]() ![]() Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out.
