Christopher Nolan “working on WWII drama”

PanARMENIAN.Net - It has been known that director Christopher Nolan is working on a secret project, but no one knows what the movie is. A new report from La Voix Du Nord (via The Playlist) shares some details about the film, saying that the untitled Christopher Nolan project may be a World War II drama, AceShowbiz said.

According to the source, the drama is inspired by Operation Dynamo, the miraculous evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) and other Allied soldiers from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk, France between May 24 and June 4, 1940, during World War II. The eight-day evacuation saved the lives of more than three hundred thousand soldiers.

The source announces the news after learning that Patrice Vergriete, the current Mayor of Dunkirk, reportedly said there would be "a world famous director," who would film an American blockbuster in the region in June 2016. The regional newspaper claims to discover that the filmmaker is "The Dark Knight" helmer. The article adds that Nolan with his brother Jonathan has been visiting the place "completely incognito."

There isn't much known about the movie, aside from the fact that it will be released in North America on July 21, 2017, just one week after 20th Century Fox's "War for the Planet of the Apes".
