"Mad Max: Fury Road", "Ex Machina" among PGA Awards nominees

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nominees for this year's Producer Guild of America Awards have been unveiled. The Guild's list of the top 10 films of 2015 includes "Mad Max: Fury Road", "Ex Machina" and "The Revenant" among others, AceShowbiz said.

The list for best theatrical motion pictures also includes "Bridge of Spies", "Brooklyn", "Sicario" and "Straight Outta Compton", as well as possible Oscar contenders like "The Martian", "Spotlight" and "The Big Short". Surprisingly, the PGA has derailed the chance for "The Hateful Eight", "Carol" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" to take spots on the list of best pictures.

The Amy Winehouse movie, "Amy", is nominated in the documentary category, joining the likes of "The Hunting Ground", "The Look of Silence", "Meru" and "Something Better to Come". In the animation category, "Anomalisa" is joined by the likes of "The Good Dinosaur", "Inside Out (2015)", "Minions" and "The Peanuts Movie".

All winners, including those in TV field, will be announced on January 23 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
