“It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” hits FXX viewership high

PanARMENIAN.Net - The notoriously underachieving The Gang just outdid themselves – in a good way. In Live + 3 ratings, the Season 11 debut of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia has hit a series viewership high on FXX, Deadline reports. The Season 2 debut of Man Seeking Women, which was right after Always Sunny at 10:30 on January 6, hit series highs in both the demo and total viewership.

With 1.34 million viewers in the delayed viewing measurement, the premiere of the Rob McElhenney created City of Brotherly Love set comedy was up 5% over the Live + 3 Season 10 debut. That January 14, 2015 show got 1.04 million viewers among adults 18-49 in DVR numbers or 2% less that the Season 11 debut of last week. The L+3 demo result is the best Always Sunny has done on FXX since the series debuted on the channel on September 4, 2013. For its first eight seasons, the bar based series, which also stars Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito, was on FX. Always Sunny started on the male 18-34 centric channel two days after it launched on September 2, 2013.

Always Sunny’s Season 11 debut had pulled in 716,000 total viewers in Live + Same Day- which meant an 87% jump in Live + 3 ratings. Down from its last season opener like Always Sunny, lead out MSW garnered 280,000 total viewers in its Season 2 premiere.

However, with an 85% Live + 3 lift in total viewers to 518,000, MSW had its best ever delayed viewing results. In the 18-49 demo, the Jay Baruchel starring MSW rose to another series high in the DVR metrics to 365,000.
