George Clooney, Julia Roberts in "Money Monster" 1st trailer (video) January 13, 2016 - 12:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The first trailer for Jodie Foster's thriller "Money Monster" has arrived online, AceShowbiz reports. Starring Academy Award winners George Clooney and Julia Roberts, the film follows a TV personality named Lee Gates whose financial advice has made him the money guru of Wall Street and accidentally put him in a thrilling situation that threatens his life. Gates' (Clooney) career is everyone's dream, until a displeased viewer named Kyle Budwell (Jack O'Connell) accuses him of losing his money by giving wrong advice. Budwell and his crew come to the studio and hold Gates hostage on air. Budwell demands to find out what happened to his money. Gates and his ace producer Patty Fenn (Roberts) have to find a way to keep themselves alive while uncovering a big money lie. "The film is not a polemic," Foster revealed. "It's really about the brotherhood that forms between these two men who thought they were on opposite sides, who hated each other, until they realize they're both fighting for the same thing." The movie also stars Caitriona Balfe, Giancarlo Esposito, Lenny Venito and Dominic West. Marking Foster's fourth directorial effort, "Money Monster" will open in North America on April 8.
