Queen frontman Adam Lambert to star in cult “Rocky Horror” remake

PanARMENIAN.Net - The diary of Adam Lambert grows ever more hectic. As well as pushing his huge new solo album and touring as frontman of Queen, he's now signed up to star in a remake of the camp cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, according to Gigwise.

The former American Idol turned pop sensation, has signed up to star in Fox's upcoming reboot of the musical, playing the role of hard-drinking delivery boy Eddie - who Meatloaf starred as in the original.

"I grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision," says Lambert. "Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was OK to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll."

Other members of the cast include Orange Is The New Black's Laverne Cox as Tim Curry's Dr Frank-N-Furter, while Ryan McCartan and Victoria Justice will be playing Brad and Janet.

This week also saw Lambert honour David Bowie with a cover of 'Let's Dance', after he was named the top earning American Idol star of 2015.

Queen and Lambert will be headlining this year's Isle Of Wight Festival - which takes place between 9 and 12 June 2016 at Seaclose Park, Newport.
