Galaxy S7 “to resurrect S4 features to rival Apple's moving images”January 18, 2016 - 11:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung could be looking to the past for its answer to the iPhone 6S's Live Photos feature. The forthcoming Galaxy S7 smartphone will reportedly resurrect software features from 2013's S4 to complete with Apple's moving images, Digital Spy reports. The S4 included services called 'Animated GIF' and 'Sound and Shot'. The former spliced photos together to create a moving image, while the latter blended images and audio. Neither was pushed as a headline feature of the device, but Samsung is reportedly planning to revive elements of them for the Galaxy S7. A software engineer with the South Korean company has apparently told Android Geeks that the new handset could sport a similar feature called Vivid Photos, Samsung's answer to Apple's Live Photos. The source says the functionality will be added via a post-release software update, if it isn't ready in time for the S7's launch at MWC next month.
