HTC “in line to make Nexus 5X and 6P handsets”

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Nexus 5X and 6P haven't been around all that long, but reports suggest Google has already chosen a manufacturer for their successors.

As Digital Spy reports citing a post on Chinese social network Weibo by Mocha RQ, HTC is in line to make both 2016 Nexus handsets.

The source also claims that this year's models will be smaller than the 5.7-inch 6P and 5.2-inch 5X, measuring in at 5.5 inches and 5 inches respectively.

HTC has prior experience as a Nexus maker, handling the original Nexus One and the Nexus 9 tablet.

But snagging both handsets would be quite the coup for the Taiwanese firm, as Google traditionally selects different manufacturers for each phone.

Take the rumour with the proverbial grain of salt since Google isn't expected to make any Nexus announcements for a while, and it's unclear whether the source is reliable.
