Eagles Of Death Metals giving free tickets to Bataclan survivors

PanARMENIAN.Net - Eagles Of Death Metal are giving free tickets to survivors of last year's Bataclan terrorist attacks, Gigwise reports.

The band's gig in Paris' Bataclan concert venue was the scene of a devastating terrorist attack back in November, during which over 100 people were shot dead. The band subsequently cancelled their European tour dates.

Now, they've rescheduled those dates, with the Bataclan gig being moved to the Olympia Theatre on 16 February (the Bataclan itself has not yet reopened since the attack).

In a statement on the band's website, co-frontman Jesse Hughes says, "The people of Paris have always been incredible to us, and our feeling of love towards this beautiful city and its people has been reinforced a million times over this past month."

He added, "Hearing the stories of the survivors, the injured and those who have lost loved ones has been overwhelming. Not returning to finish our set was never an option. We look forward to coming back in February and continuing our mission to bring rock ‘n’ roll to the world."

Eagles Of Death Metal will be performing at Reading + Leeds Festival from 26 - 28 August. Also confirmed are the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, The 1975, Rat Boy, Courteeners and more.
