The company is close to a pact for worldwide streaming rights to “Brahman Naman”, Variety has learned. The deal for the film will be in the low seven-figure range. The cast includes Shashank Arora, Tanmay Dhanania, Chaitanya Varad and Vaiswath Shankar. “Brahman Naman” was directed by celebrated Indian director Q from a script by Naman Ramachandran (a London-based contributor to Variety). Netflix has had a very active Sundance, acquiring “Tallulah” (starring Ellen Page), “The Fundamentals of Caring” (with Paul Rudd), “Under the Shadow” (an Iranian horror movie) and the documentary “Audrie & Daisy.” UTA handled the deal.
