PanARMENIAN.Net - "Power Rangers" has officially found its main baddie in Elizabeth Banks. The "Pitch Perfect 2" director is confirmed to play the villainous role of Rita Repulsa, an alien witch who comes to Earth in order to rule the planet, AceShowbiz said.

Banks confirmed the casting herself on Twitter. "After 10,000 years, I'm free! It's time to conquer Earth!!" so she broke the news to her more than 2 million followers. "Time to play #RitaRepulsa #PowerRangersMovie."

Directed by Dean Israelite, the movie is due March 24, 2017. It follows a group of ordinary high school kids who find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those powers as a team to save the world. The color-coded heroes are played by Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, Becky G, Ludi Lin, and RJ Cyler.
