Bataclan to reopen following Paris terror attacks![]() February 11, 2016 - 14:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Bataclan, the venue in which 89 people were shot dead as part of a devastating Paris terror attack, is to re-open before the end of the year, Gigwise reveals. The historic concert hall was hosting Eagles Of Death Metal back in November when Islamic extremists burst in, shooting hundreds of crowd members and killing 89 of them. There were a series of deadly attacks spread throughout Paris that evening, but the Bataclan was by far the worst hit. Speaking to Billboard back in November, the Bataclan's co-manager, Dominique Revert, said, "It will reopen, no question about it. Hearts will be heavy for a few months, a few years. But we will reopen. We will not surrender." Now, in a statement to the same publication, the venue have specified this promise. "We'll do our best," they said, "to host events before the end of 2016." Speaking to Vice following the attacks, Eagles Of Death Metal's Jesse Hughes said that he "wants to be the first person to play in the Bataclan when it opens. I cannot wait to get back to Paris. Our friends went there to see rock‘n’roll and died, I’m going to go back there and live."
