Hot Chip, Bastille among Wales’ Festival No.6 headliners

PanARMENIAN.Net - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Hot Chip and Bastille are set to headline this year's Festival No.6 - and there'll also be a David Bowie tribute with "special guest vocalists", Gigwise said.

The beautiful Welsh festival takes place in Portmeirion from 1 - 4 September, and those headliners will be joined by the likes of Aurora, Gwenno, Roisin Murphy, Oscar, Lucy Rose and Echo & The Bunnymen.

In another first, the festival has commissioned No.6 composer-in-residence Joe Duddell to work with the Manchester Camerata chamber orchestra on an exclusive David Bowie Reimagined performance. Their performance will feature arrangements of iconic songs from across Bowie’s career, with very special guest vocalists on each song.

This is just the first wave of acts for the festival - which is usually one of the highlights of summer's festival season. A second wave of artists and the arts and culture programme are set to be unveiled over the next few months.
