Beck, Nirvana join forces for David Bowie tribute

PanARMENIAN.Net - There was not one, but two supergroup tributes to David Bowie at a pre-Grammy party last night - first Beck teamed up with Nirvana, and then Adam Lambert joined Jack Antonoff, Gigwise reports.

The remaining members of Nirvana - Pat Smear, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl - became the backing band for Beck at the US event, where the makeshift supergroup performed 'The Man Who Sold The World'.

This isn't the first time Beck's covered a Bowie song. Last year he was backed by a full orchestra for an incredible reimagining of 'Sound & Vision'.

Meanwhile, Adam Lambert (who's been touring as the lead singer of Queen for a few years now) teamed up wth Bleachers' Jack Antonoff for another Bowie tribute - this time a cover of 'Let's Dance'.

The 2016 Grammy Awards take place tonight (15 February), with performances from the likes of Taylor Swift, Rihanna, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar, while Lady Gaga will perform yet another tribute to David Bowie.
