"Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds to join sci-fi thriller "Life"

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Deadpool" is not yet over taking the cinemas by storm and news of Ryan Reynolds reuniting with the film's writers already surfaced. The actor is in talks to star in Skydance Productions' sci-fi thriller "Life (2017)" which may team him up with Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, AceShowbiz said.

Daniel Espinosa, who directed Reynolds in "Safe House", signed his deal last November to helm the project. "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" stand-out Rebecca Ferguson's involvement in the film was reported back in January. Meanwhile, Deadline said talks with Reynolds occurred way before "Deadpool" became a box office hit.

"Life" follows the crew of the International Space Station, who, after retrieving a sample from Mars, discover that it displays signs of life, and proves to be more intelligent than expected. Skydance's David Ellison and Dana Goldberg are producing with Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn. Paramount is expected to be the distributor.

Should the deal go through, this would not be the only future project that Reynolds will do with Wernick and Reese. Talks about a "Deadpool" sequel are already happening while the writing duo are working on the script.
