LG's forthcoming G5 tipped to double up on displays, camerasFebruary 17, 2016 - 12:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung towers over the Android landscape as market leader, but reports suggest that LG's forthcoming G5 smartphone could be a credible challenger to its dominance, Digital Spy reports. Reliable tipster Evan Blass claims to have clapped eyes on the Galaxy S7 rival and the features he describes suggest Sammy has some serious competition. The LG G5 is said to pack a double whammy with a secondary display and dual rear cameras on board. Blass didn't reveal where the second screen will be positioned, but it seems likely that it will be a small ticker panel for notifications and shortcuts, a feature found on the experimental LG V10. The inclusion of a secondary rear camera suggests a similar setup to the HTC One M8, which allowed users to adjust the focus of a shot after taking it. Previous reports suggest that the G5 will be a powerhouse, packing a Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM, with a metal shell to add some premium gloss and a removable battery. LG will announce its 2016 flagship at its pre-MWC 2016 press conference on Sunday (February 21).
