VivaCell-MTS Sales & Customer Service School graduates getting jobs

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the framework of its Career Development Program, VivaCell-MTS encourages educational projects supporting Armenian students. Training of qualified and experienced future professionals promotes the sustainability of labor market in Armenia which is the main objective of Career Development Program (CDP) at VivaCell-MTS.

As Armenia’s leading telecommunication operator, VivaCell-MTS gives young people from various higher educational institutions and schools an opportunity to visit the company, engage in internship programs and practice what they have leant during their university years, enhance their skills and competence in their respective spheres and get a chance to work with VivaCell-MTS in particular.

VivaCell-MTS Sales and Customer Service School was launched in December 2015, aiming to develop students’ sales and customer service and communication skills by enrolling them as hosts/animators at the company’s Service Centers.

During the first phase, VivaCell-MTS hosted students from the Yerevan State University, Armenian National Polytechnic University and European Regional Educational Academy. Out of many students who applied for the program, only 23 were chosen, based on their potential, fresh and creative ideas and willingness to bring positive change to the company.

Prior to starting their internship at Service Centers, students underwent special training sessions on VivaCell-MTS products and tariffs, Mobidram services, code of ethics, the working practices and procedures of the company. Besides, the company has also benefited from the project. During the New Year holiday season the company’s service centers are flooded with subscribers, with the staff forced to work under constant pressure. Students provided significant support to the staff, with the sale of about 350 phones among tangible benefits brought by students’ enrollment.

The candidacies of some of the promising students will be considered for open vacancies at VivaCell-MTS.

At a graduation ceremony organized at VivaCell-MTS headquarters, the company’s General Manager Ralph Yirikian said: “One’s potential cannot be realized unless a person faces a real challenge. It’s worth noting that when finding themselves in a creative working environment, even the students who don’t boast the highest marks can be no less efficient than straight-A students.”

Multiple educational initiatives implemented in the framework of the Career Development Project seek to give young people hands-on experience through on-the-job training. VivaCell-MTS is glad to see the best-performing students employed by other organizations as well.
