"House of Cards" hit series season 5 finds new showrunners

PanARMENIAN.Net - "House of Cards" has found a pair of new showrunners for the upcoming fifth season. Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese who joined the show as writers on season 3 are tapped to fill in the vacant spot left by creator Beau Willimon, AceShowbiz reports.

"I welcome Frank and Melissa in their new roles on House of Cards and look forward to collaborating with them and our creative team on season five," said executive producer/lead star Kevin Spacey. Pugliese and Gibson added in a joint statement, "We and the rest of the House of Cards writers look forward to the next chapter of the reign of Underwood."

"House of Cards" will premiere season 4 on March 4 on Netflix. "After five years and four seasons, it's time for me to move on to new endeavors, but I'm supremely proud of what we've built together, wish the show much continued success, and leave it in the hands of a very capable team," Willimon previously said of his departure.
