Blair Underwood to star in Reese Witherspoon’s ABC drama pilotMarch 7, 2016 - 13:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Blair Underwood has joined the cast of ABC’s untitled drama pilot from Meaghan Oppenheimer, TheWrap reports. The drama, from executive producers Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea, follows a ruthless Dallas divorce attorney’s life that begins to unravel when her emotionally damaged, love-addicted sister resurfaces exposing a long-hidden family secret. Underwood, who most recently recurred on the network’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” will play James, Gemma’s boss and sometimes lover. He was Gemma’s law professor and mentor for years, instilling in her a sense of cutthroat ambition and the one person unafraid to belittle her. “Grey’s Anatomy” alum T.R. Knight, Penelope Ann Miller and Charity Wakefield are also set to star. Oppenheimer wrote the pilot, and will executive produce alongside Witherspoon and Papandrea of Pacific Standard.
