Armenia hosts WebApricot 5th Pan-Armenian Online Film Festival

PanARMENIAN.Net - WebApricot 5th Pan-Armenian Online Film Festival was held in Yerevan, with the results summed up on March 3.

The Golden Apricot International Film Festival and the webtv.am Armenian online cultural TV channel organized the festival, VivaCell-MTS serving as the General Partner.

“The experimental project launched 5 years ago has now grown into an established festival,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said. “I am sure that these young people will claim more achievements in the future, making all of us proud.”

The fifth edition of WebApricot kicked off on February 3, with Jury Board members Mikael Dovlatyan (director), Ruzan Bagratuni (film journalist), and Gohar Hakobyan (journalist) presenting the results, based on 24 films, submitted to webtv.am’s official YouTube channel.

Lusine Papoyan and Garik Avagyan shared 1st prize for “Radiola” and “I heard a sweet voice…” respectively, each of them set to receive an AMD 200 000 monetary award.

The movie “I wanted a studio” by Arpi Balyan got an incentive award, while Arman Ayvazyan took the Audience award for the film “Crossroad” which gathered the largest number of views.

The winners will have an opportunity to use professional movie making equipment free of charge for 10 days.
