The Stone Roses rock band “set to release new album this summer”March 14, 2016 - 13:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Stone Roses are set to release a new album this summer to coincide with their forthcoming tour dates, Gigwise said citing reports. The Manchester band released their last album, Second Coming, back in 1994, but spit two years later after several key members fractured from the group. In 2011, they announced that they would reunite for a world tour the following year. Now, a few months after announcing a handful of shows at Manchester's Etihad Stadium, one in Dublin's Marlay back and a headline appearance at T In The Park, it looks like they might be gearing up to release a new album. According to a source for The Mirror, "Ian Brown and the lads have been busy getting their next album ready. It will be album number three. It's a long time coming but they feel the time is right now." This isn't the first time rumours have circulated about a new album recently. A few weeks back, Guardian journalist Ben Green sparked a fan frenzy when he tweeted, "SR04032016", which seemed to suggest new material was coming on 4 March. It didn't materialise.
