Samsung building new social network, Waffle (video) March 16, 2016 - 12:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung is after a slice of the social networking pie - or perhaps waffle is more appropriate. The tech giant has launched an experimental social network named after the doughy desserts, but it's no Facebook competitor, Digital Spy said. Described as a "communal graffiti wall", Waffle is all about telling collaborative stories by pooling posts together. It has a waffle-like grid layout that arranges posts about the same topic into a composite tapestry of images, videos, text and doodles. Samsung is billing the app as a "differentiated service that illustrates multiple points of view to generate a collaborative story". Waffle is in beta testing on Android right now, but there's no guarantee it will ever be given a wider release.
