The drama previously was slated to open on April 29, but now it will hit theaters on Feb. 3, 2017. Based on a book of the same name by Ron Hall and Denver Moore, the film stars Renee Zellweger, Djimon Hounsou and Jon Voight and marks the feature directorial debut of Michael Carney. The studio also announced a date change for the limited release of Richard Linklater's latest coming-of-age tale, Everybody Wants Some!! The film, which recently opened the SXSW Film Festival, will be moving from a Friday (April 1) to a Wednesday release (March 30).
