The "Breaking Bad" star transformed into Lyndon B. Johnson who was abruptly thrown into the presidential chair after the death of John F. Kennedy. The trailer shows how the TV movie will begin right after the assassination happened. LBJ ascends to the presidency and the rest deals with his first year in the office. Anthony Mackie stars as Martin Luther King, Jr. who gets LBJ involved in the Civil Rights movement. Melissa Leo tackles the role of Lady Bird Johnson who warns her husband, "Whatever happens, you don't quit." Cranston had played the role in a 2014 Broadway play of the same title by Robert Schenkkan, and won a Tony for it. He had full support when HBO decided to adapt the play for the screen, saying, "We could now reach millions more and tell this important story by way of HBO."
