PanARMENIAN.Net - Warner Bros. has set release dates for its upcoming movies, including Ben Affleck's "Live by Night". The studio has announced that the film, adapted from Dennis Lehane's Prohibition-era crime novel, will be hitting U.S. theaters on October 20, 2017, AceShowbiz reports.

Affleck directed, wrote and produced the flick in addition to starring in it as a prodigal son of a Boston police captain who grows to be a criminal gangster. The cast also includes Sienna Miller, Chris Messina, Zoe Saldana and Elle Fanning.

Currently, "Live by Night" is the only film slated to be released on the day. However, it's worth noting that Universal's thriller "The Snowman", which is led by Michael Fassbender, will open the week before.

"Annabelle 2" and "Fist Fight" are other Warner Bros. movies getting release dates. The former, a sequel to "The Conjuring" spin-off, is scheduled to open on May 19, 2017 against Paramount's big-screen adaptation of "Baywatch".

The latter, meanwhile, is scheduled for February 17, 2017. Starring Ice Cube, Christina Hendricks and Tracy Morgan among others, the comedy is the fourth title slotted for the date, following Sony's "The Dark Tower", Fox's "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure" and Universal's "The Great Wall".

Warner Bros. additionally sets an August 11, 2017 release date for an event film which is still untitled.
