Director James Gunn eyed for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3"March 30, 2016 - 18:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The filming of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" has just begun, but Marvel is already thinking about doing a third movie. In his downtime on Tuesday, March 29, director James Gunn hosted a Q&A on Facebook and revealed during the session that he'd actually spoken with the studio about the possibility of him returning as director, AceShowbiz said. "Right now I really am just concerned with doing 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'. I'm not sure what I'm going to do after this," the filmmaker said. "Marvel has talked to me about continuing on. I'm not sure if that's what I want to do or if that's not what I want to do." Gunn continued, "I really just want to make 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' the greatest possible movie that I can, and something that's as honest and sincere and true as it can possibly be." The production of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" started in Atlanta, Georgia last month and, according to Gunn in the same Q&A, is scheduled to wrap up in June. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and Karen Gillan are reprising their respective roles alongside new cast members like Pom Klementieff, who's set to play Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell. The follow-up to 2014's "Guardians of the Galaxy" is slated to open in U.S. theaters on May 5, 2017.
