HTC M10 new teaser hints at radically different design

PanARMENIAN.Net - HTC was accused of sticking too closely to its guns with its last flagship phone the M9, but it looks like the device's successor could silence those critics, Digital Spy said.

The latest teaser for the so-called HTC 10 hints at a radically different design, with capacitive buttons and a fingerprint scanner coming to the party.

The Taiwanese firm appears to be cherry-picking the best design features from its portfolio, with the button layout evoking the One M7 and the finger scanner lifted from last year's iPhone lookalike the One A9.

HTC's new teaser offers only a tenuous look at the handset, with most of it concealed by shadow, but we can also glean that the firm's trademark front-facing stereo speakers are missing in action.

M10 specs rumours point to a QHD AMOLED display and a laser-assisted 12 Ultrapixel camera as its killer features, with a Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM running the show.

HTC will announce the device on April 12, more than a month after rival Android phone the Samsung Galaxy S7 went on sale.
