Condition of children wounded in Azeri shelling assessed as stable

PanARMENIAN.Net - The condition of Vardan Andreasyan, 12 and Gevorg Grigoryan, 11, currently undergoing medical care in Arevik children's hospital, is assessed as stable.

As the Nagorno Karabakh Ministry of Health reports, the children's hemodynamic indicators have improved, the kids are conscious. Their treatment continues, the Ministry said.

Vardan Andreasyan and Gevorg Grigoryan were wounded in Azzerbaijan's shelling of a school yard in Karabakh. Vaghinak Grigoryan was killed in the attack.

Earlier, a 19-year-old civilian injured in Azeri shelling was transported to Armenia from Nagorno Karabakh.

Tsovinar Aghajanyan, 55, Garegin Aghajanyan, 43 and Zaven Andreasyan, 31 are placed in the intensive care unit of Stepanakert’s Republican Medical Center. Their condition is assessed as stable.

On the night of April 1-2, Azerbaijani armed forces initiated overt offensive operations in the southern, southeastern and northeastern directions of the line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh, using artillery, armored fighting vehicles and air force equipment among other weapons.

As many as 18 Karabakh servicemen were killed and 35 were wounded in the course of military operations.

According to Karabakh Defense Army spokesman Senor Hasratyan, 14 Azerbaijani tanks have been destroyed.

On April 2-3, the Azerbaijani side has lost 14 tanks and over 5 armored vehicles, including an IFV, as well as 2 military helicopters and 2 unmanned aerial vehicles.

One Karabakh tank has been destroyed so far.
