Apple “readying to kill off the MacBook Air”April 14, 2016 - 11:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - There will be no new MacBook Air models in 2016 as Apple prepares to kill off the slimline laptop range, reports have claimed, according to Digital Spy. With the MacBook having returned as Apple's compact laptop offering last year, it has been suggested that the Air - Apple's most affordable portable computer option - is to be slowly retired. That's according to claimed insiders speaking to tech blogger Jack Marsh, via BGR, with the reports just the latest in a flurry of claims along these Air-culling lines. While it has yet to be formally sent to the scrap heap, the insider stated there was a "strong indication" the fan-favorite would be killed off. Despite still being one of Apple's best products, the MacBook Air now treads unstable ground in the company's product roster, with the MacBook stepping on its toes from above and the iPad Pro lines coming at it from the side, Digital Spy said. Apple's yet to comment on the claims or formally discuss the future of the Air. Top stories Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
