Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan + more “readying for epic new festival”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Get ready for one of the most epic festival line-ups of all time, with Coachella organisers said to be booking an event headlined by Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and many more, Gigwise said.

Also among the huge roster of legends sharing the bill for the first time, are reportedly The Who, Neil Young and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters.

The news comes from The Los Angeles Times, who claim that Coachella organisers Goldenvoice are planning the event to take place from 7-9 October at the Empire Polo Grounds - with Dylan and The Stones set to play back to back and top the bill on the Friday, before Neil Young and Beatles legend Macca rock Saturday and Roger Waters and The Who close proceedings on Sunday.

“It’s so special in so many ways,” said Young’s longtime manager, Elliot Roberts, “because you won’t get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again. It’s a show I look forward to more than any show in a long time.”

An announcement is expected in the coming weeks.

It was a most eventful Coachella this weekend, seeing the reunited LCD Soundsystem pay tribute to David Bowie in their huge headline set, and Guns N' Roses be joined on stage by Angus Young to mark the news that Axl Rose would be joining AC/DC as their new replacement frontman. Coachella continues this weekend.

Meanwhile, Sir Paul McCartney recently kicked off his huge new One On One world tour - performing a number of Beatles classics for the first time in 50 years.
