Russia doesn’t equate relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan: envoy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia “doesn’t equate relations with Armenia to those with Azerbaijan, ambassador Ivan Volynkin told reporters Sunday, April 24 commenting on Moscow’s arms sale to Baku.

Speaking at the Armenian Genocide memorial in Yerevan, Volynkin said emotions may now prevail in the Armenia-Russia relations, which are, as always, hard to shake.”

“There may be some resentment, misunderstanding, but it does not mean that the Russian-Armenian relations will be transferred into some other format,” he said, according to Sputnik News.

“We have excellent relations, the heads of our states are in constant contact, and I think this state of affairs will last forever.”
