Turkey’s pro-Kurdish party leader apologizes for Armenian Genocide

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairwoman of Turkey’s pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Figen Yuksekdag apologized to the Armenian nation for the Genocide perpetrated at the hands of the Ottoman Empire, Ermenihaber.am reports citing Yeniasya.

At the party's parliamentary group meeting, she cited with regret the lack of confrontation as a fresh impetus for committing new genocides.

“Facing your past doesn't necessarily mean you are abasing yourself,” Yuksekdag said. “Quite the opposite, it relieves pain.”
