“The Little Hours” dark comedy selling at CannesApril 27, 2016 - 16:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Concourse Film Trade has acquired international sales rights to the dark comedy “The Little Hours”, starring Alison Brie, Dave Franco, Kate Micucci, Aubrey Plaza, John C. Reilly and Molly Shannon, Variety reports. Concourse will begin selling the movie at the Cannes Film Festival. CAA and WME are handling domestic rights. The announcement of sales rights going to Concourse is the first disclosure about the project, which recently completed principal photography in Italy. Jeff Baena, whose helming credits include “Joshy” and “Life After Beth,” directed “The Little Hours.” The movie also stars Fred Armisen, Jon Gabrus, Jemima Kirke, Nick Offerman, Adam Pally, Paul Reiser, Lauren Weedman and Paul Weitz. Producers are keeping the logline under wraps. The film is produced by Liz Destro of Destro Films. It was executive produced and financed by StarStream Media and Bow and Arrow Entertainment alongside Productivity Media in partnership with Concourse. The movie was also executive produced by Exhibit Entertainment and Foton Pictures. Brie and Plaza recently starred in “Joshy.” The film debuted in January at the Sundance Film Festival with Lionsgate and Hulu buying domestic rights and Sony Worldwide taking international. “Life After Beth,” starring Plaza, Reilly and Shannon, was released by A24 domestically and by Universal on the international side.
