Olivia Cooke, Anya Taylor-Joy to star in psychological thriller “Thoroughbred”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Olivia Cooke, Anya Taylor-Joy and Anton Yelchin are starring in psychological thriller “Thoroughbred” for June Pictures and B Story, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Shooting will take place in May with Cory Finley making his directorial debut from a script based on his play about a tempestuous friendship between two suburban teenage girls — a star student home from her elite boarding school and a young equestrian shunned after injuring her horse.

June’s Alex Saks and Andrew Duncan are producing with B Story’s Kevin J. Walsh, Nat Faxon and Jim Rash. B Story’s Ryan Stowell will executive produce.

Cooke’s credits include “Bates Motel” and “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl.” She’s been cast in Steven Spielberg’s “Ready Player One.”

Taylor-Joy starred in “The Witch” and the BBC America series “Atlantis.” She’s filming a leading role opposite Devon Terrell in “Barry” from Black Bear Pictures, which explores the time when Barack Obama was a college student in New York City and has completed filming sci-fi thriller “Morgan” alongside Kate Mara, Paul Giamatti, Toby Jones and Boyd Holbrook.

Yelchin will be seen next as Pavel Chekov in “Star Trek Beyond.”

The news was first reported by Tracking Board.
