Three Spanish cities recognize Armenian Genocide

PanARMENIAN.Net - Spanish cities of Carcaixent, Alaquàs and Elda officially recognized the Armenian Genocide on April 27-28.

All the five political forces represented in Carcaixent City Council unanimously voted in favor of a corresponding declaration. People’s Party and Ciudadanos MPs abstained from voting in Alaquàs, with Ciudadanos voting against the resolution in Elda.

Representatives of Spain’s Armenian community attended the sessions and expressed gratitude to the City Councils.
