Windows 10 Cortana to no longer support Google searchMay 2, 2016 - 12:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Microsoft has decided to stop users from accessing Google in Windows 10 through Cortana - as of now, Digital Spy reveals. The reliability of Cortana has been compromised due to the implementation of new software. In a blog post Microsoft said: "The result is a compromised experience that is less reliable and predictable. "The continuity of these types of task completion scenarios is disrupted if Cortana can't depend on Bing as the search provider and Microsoft Edge as the browser. "The only way we can confidently deliver this personalised, end-to-end search experience is through the integration of Cortana, Microsoft Edge and Bing – all designed to do more for you." So as of April 30, Microsoft Edge will launch from the Cortana search box - though users can still access other search engines via the usual browser search.
