Red Hot Chili Peppers dropping new song, “Dark Necessities” on May 5

PanARMENIAN.Net - Red Hot Chili Peppers are about to burst back onto the music scene with their first single in four years, Digital Spy reports.

The alternative rockers have announced on their Twitter page that they will drop a brand new song called 'Dark Necessities' on Thursday (May 5).

There have also been rumblings that more solid details about their next studio album could soon follow.

Red Hot Chili Peppers' most recent record I'm with You debuted all the way back in 2011 - topping the UK album chart and hitting number two in the US.

A new album could potentially come as the group gear up to the play T in the Park and the Reading and Leeds Festival this summer.

Work on Red Hot Chili Peppers' next album - which Flea has described as having a "super danceable" sound - has been going on for over two years.
