Daniel Bruhl to join J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi thriller “God Particle”May 11, 2016 - 17:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Daniel Bruhl is in negotiations to join Paramount’s ensemble of its sci-fi thriller “God Particle”, sources confirmed to Variety. David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and John Krasinski are also attached to star. J.J. Abrams is producing the film though his Bad Robot banner with Julius Onah directing. Originally set up at Paramount InSurge before its shuttering, the long-in-development movie takes place in the near future. It centers on a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges everything they know about the fabric of reality, as they desperately fight for survival. Bruhl would play one of the astronauts. The film will hit theaters on Feb. 24, 2017, with production scheduled to start sometime in the next few months. Bruhl can currently be seen as the villain Zemo in Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War,” which opened this weekend to a massive $180 million domestically. Bruhl also has “The Zookeeper’s Wife,” where he stars opposite Jessica Chastain, bowing this year as well as Terry George’s “The Promise.” The news was first reported by the Hollywood Reporter.
