Steve Clark directs the pic from a script he co-penned with Thomas Moffett. David M. Rosenthal is producing along with 3 Arts Entertainment’s Tom Lassally and Will Rowbotham. Content Media is handing international rights for the title and is launching the project to buyers in Cannes this week. CAA reps North American rights. Story follows Atticus Smith (Irons) who is a highly celebrated actor whose spectacular career is matched only by his rugged good looks and devilish charm. His estranged son (Huston), a devoted husband and professor, couldn’t be more different from his father. But when a medical condition forces Atticus to hitch a ride from Los Angeles to New York to be at his daughter’s wedding, his son becomes his only option and the duo ensue on a madcap road adventure together. Principle photography is skedded for this fall. Additional titles on Content’s Cannes slate this year include “Pistorius,” the feature docu about the Olympic sports icon convicted of murder; action-thriller “The Worker,” produced by Jeremy Renner’s shingle The Combine; Manolo Blahnik docu “Manolo” and romcom “The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea,” toplining Jason Sudeikis, Maisie Williams and Jessica Biel.
