CBS orders Katherine Heigl, Laverne Cox drama to series

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new TV drama starring Katherine Heigl and Laverne Cox has gotten a series order for 2016-2017 season. CBS has picked up the new show titled "Doubt" which is also supported by Steven Pasquale and Dule Hill, Dreama Walker, Elliott Gould and Kobi Libiiand, AceShowbiz said.

Heigl is set to play Sadie, a smart, chic, successful defense lawyer at a boutique firm who shockingly gets romantically involved with one of her clients, who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime. Cox is tapped in the role of a transgender attorney.

Heigl, who mostly focused on her movie career following her "Grey's Anatomy" exit, recently made a comeback to small screen on NBC's "State of Affairs", but the drama thriller was canceled after only one season. Sadie was originally intended for KaDee Strickland before Heigl was booked for the role.
