The Strokes indie rock band to debut their new single

PanARMENIAN.Net - The return of The Strokes is finally upon us, with the 'Someday' indie heroes to debut their brand new single today (Thursday 26 May), Gigwise reports.

Back in December, it was revealed that the band had been in the studio working on new music. The first taster of their sound since 2013's Comedown Machine is on its way, according to a trailer for frontman Julian Casablancas’ new radio show on US radio station Sirius XMU-which has announced “the world premiere of brand new music from The Strokes.”

Casablancas' label Cult Records have also shared a video of The Strokes' logo being beamed across London and New York with the words ‘Future Present Past’.

Speaking to Gigwise about progress on new music last year, guitarist Albert Hammond Jr said: "My personality just doesn't allow for that so I keep The Strokes on the side until I have something going on. Otherwise it would just drain me of energy."
