Daniel Craig, Katherine Heigl join

PanARMENIAN.Net - Daniel Craig and Katherine Heigl are finalizing deals to star in Steven Soderbergh's heist comedy "Logan Lucky", AceShowbiz reports citing Deadline. The film, which was being shopped as a hot package in Cannes, also stars Channing Tatum, Michael Shannon, Adam Driver, Riley Keough and Seth MacFarlane.

Channing and Michael will play brothers who plan a heist during a high-profile NASCAR race. Gregory Jacobs, Mark Johnson and Reid Carolin are producing. Production for "Logan Lucky" is scheduled to begin in the fall, which puts further into question Daniel's willingness to reprise his role as James Bond. Pre-production starts this weekend at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600. NASCAR says it has thrown its support behind the picture.

"Logan Lucky" is Steven's first film after the director vowed that he retired from film. Most recently, he directed the 2013 medical thriller "Side Effects" starring Channing, Jude Law, Rooney Mara and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Daniel is set to make his debut in the U.S. television with "Purity", a series based on the novel by Jonathan Franzen about young female activist named Purity who begins a worldwide search for her father. Katherine is also returning to TV through CBS' drama "Doubt" alongside Steven Pasquale and Laverne Cox.
