Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew members of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. “Alien: Covenant” also stars Danny McBride and Demian Bichir. It is directed by Ridley Scott, who also directed “Prometheus” and the original “Alien.” Jack Paglen and Michael Green wrote the script. Last month, Fox released a first look at the movie on the same Twitter feed shortly after it began production. The image revealed a patch bearing the mark of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.
